What this site is
BaerimTools is an unofficial, fan-made tool created for players of the Baerim server (Metin2). The site is not affiliated with the Baerim team or the creators of Metin2. You don't need an account or to log in to use it.
Data stored locally in your browser
The site saves some data purely locally, in your browser's storage (localStorage) — this data is never sent to any server and disappears if you clear your browsing data. It's used to remember your settings and progress between visits:
- your chosen site language
- your chosen interface size (HUD scale)
- the Metin2 nickname you entered (used to credit you in the Hall of Fame)
- your list of collected mokoko on the interactive maps
- comments you've liked under mokoko markers
- your own manually entered material prices and your Build Calculator list
- scroll/seal/pity choices saved per item
- short-lived cooldowns after using a banned word in a comment
Data sent to the server
If you add a comment under a mokoko on the map (optionally with a photo), submit a price to the global price list, or leave your nickname for the Hall of Fame — that data is stored in the site's database (Cloudflare D1) and is publicly visible to other visitors. Please don't include personal information in comments — it's never needed.
Ads
This site shows ads from Google AdSense. Ads are what pays for hosting, so the site can stay free and without a paywall. Google and its partners may set cookies and read information about your device and browser to serve ads, measure how they perform and, where you have agreed to it, personalise them.
Before any advertising cookie is used, Google's own consent message asks what you agree to. It is a certified Consent Management Platform built on the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework, and your choice is passed on to Google's advertising partners. You can reopen that message at any time from the privacy link it leaves on the page and change or withdraw your answer.
Advertising cookies are separate from the local browser storage described above: they are set by Google's domains, not by this site, and this site cannot read them. If you would rather not have them at all, decline personalised ads in the consent message, or block third-party cookies in your browser — the site keeps working either way.
Hosting logs
Like most websites, the hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare Pages and Workers) and database (Cloudflare D1) behind this site may routinely log IP addresses and basic technical request information (e.g. browser type) as part of normal service operation and security. We don't have direct access to this data beyond basic statistics.
Your rights
You can delete locally stored data at any time by clearing your browsing data for this site. If you'd like us to remove a comment, photo, or Hall of Fame entry you submitted, write to us at the address below.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the site evolves. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
